Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold demands 'respect' over FIFA 21 ratings

Trent Alexander-Arnold may be one of the highest-rated players in FIFA 21 - but not all of his teammates agree.

The Liverpool full-back was talking with Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Curtis Jones about their FIFA 21 ratings for EA Sports when the four were asked to name the highest-rated defender among them.

To Alexander-Arnold's shock, his three teammates all went with Mane over him.

"Put some respect on there," Alexander-Arnold said, showing his own card before being left stunned at every other player's choice.

Jones cheekily tried to reason with Alexander-Arnold over his decision, arguing he was focusing on a particular type of defending.

"The thing is, Trent, I don't see you in one-v-ones enough," he said.

Yet Alexander-Arnold was not having that as an excuse.

"Where do you see Sadio in one-v-ones?" he shot back to the laughter of everyone else.

Needless to say, Alexander-Arnold's defensive rating in the game is better than his attacking teammate's.

The 21-year-old, who is the 37th-best player in the game, has a rating of 80 in defence - much better than Mane's 44.

Mane was not done there when it came to ribbing his young teammate.

The four were asked to fill in every player's FIFA card with the individual ratings they would be given for each category.

Mane was asked to rate Alexander-Arnold's defending and marked him down at 45, leaving the full-back distinctly unimpressed.

"Sadio, chill, pal," he said, prompting Mane to up his rating to 64.

"Sadio, man, relax!" Alexander-Arnold laughed.

Jones and Origi were a lot more kind to Alexander-Arnold, and his overall rating was 87 - exactly the same as it is on FIFA 21.
