Liverpool star Neco Williams left speechless by 'surreal moment' after scoring dramatic winner for Wales

Neco Williams was left speechless after netting a late winner for Wales against Bulgaria in Cardiff.

The Liverpool defender headed home his first international goal deep into injury-time on what was only his second cap for his country.

His dramatic winner ensured Wales maintained their 100% record in the 2020/21 Nations League, with Ryan Giggs' side sitting at the top of their group with six points from two matches.

And Williams admits his goal is a proud moment for his family.

“I can’t really sum it up at the minute," he told Sky Sports.

"Before that goal we must have made 25 passes. To finish it off and get my first goal for the country is a proud moment for me, my family and its a moment I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

“Making my debut, scoring my first goal for my country. It’s just a surreal moment.

“Hopefully I’ll keep getting chance and hopefully I can get more goals.”

The defender started the game on the bench but replaced Connor Roberts with 25 minutes left on the clock.

And he popped up at the back post to head home Jonny Williams' floated cross four minutes into added time to secure a 1-0 win over the Bulgarians.
