Liverpool star Mohamed Salah shows sense of humour with Golden Boot message

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has responded to sharing the Golden Boot by posting a picture which shows the forward still has a good sense of humour despite missing out on the Premier League title.

The Reds had bigger fish to fry than individual awards as they aimed to end a 29-year wait for the league trophy, but a consolation came from the fact Salah and his Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane were two of three players to share the Premier League Golden Boot award.

Salah led the way with one match remaining but both Mane and Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted braces on the final day of the season to level with the Egyptian on 22 goals.

The 26-year-old had already responded well to losing the title to Man City by congratulating the Blues and promising an even tougher battle next season.

But Salah added a bit of humour to the mix in his reaction to winning the Golden Boot again.

He took the gong home last season after netting 32 goals, two more than Harry Kane, and he again got a trophy for sharing it this time around, with the forward posting the joke above relating to his daughter after Liverpool's win over Wolves.
