Liverpool star Mohamed Salah shows class in dressing room gesture to Kenya players

Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah showed his class once again while away on international duty with Egypt on Thursday night.

The attacker had just played 90 minutes of the Pharoah's African Cup of Nations group stage qualifier, which they drew 1-1 with Kenya.

He was then filmed inside the opposition dressing room, wearing a mask, congratulating the players for their performances while also wishing them good luck after failing to reach the tournament finals.

Salah gave a speech and was applauded by the players and Kenya Football Federation president Nick Mwendwa before handing his shirt to midfielder Kenneth Muguna.

The result saw Egypt qualify for the tournament, set to be played in January 2022, and they will play Comoros on Monday to decide who finishes top of Group G.

The AFCON finals were initially scheduled to take place in the summer in Cameroon.

However, the country's climate during June and July forced the Confederation of African Football into a re-think and the competition will now begin in early January and conclude at the start of February.

That means some European-based Africa stars could be absent from domestic action for half-a-dozen games - including Salah, Sadio Mane with Senegal and Naby Keita with Guinea.
