Mohamed Salah has sent a message to world leaders - including British Prime Minister Boris Johnson - calling on them to do everything in their power to stop the violence and killing of innocent people immediately.
The Liverpool forward has taken to social media amid the continued unrest between Palestine and Israel.
Earlier today, two Israeli women were killed by Palestinian rocket strikes after 26 Palestinians were killed in Gaza.
The airstrikes were a retaliation for a barrage of rockets fired into Israel from Gaza since 6pm on Monday including six rockets which landed near Jerusalem.
And Salah has called on world leaders like current PM Johnson to do everything in their power to bring an end to the violence.
He wrote on Twitter: “I’m calling on all the world leaders including on the Prime Minister of the country that has been my home for the past 4 years to do everything in their power to make sure the violence and killing of innocent people stops immediately. Enough is enough. @BorisJohnson.”
Earlier today, Liverpool forward Sadio Mane also took to Twitter to condemn the ongoing violence.
He posted a tweet with an image saying: “FREE PALESTINE” and “Heartbreaking.”
Tensions between Palestinians and Israeli forces have reached boiling point as Palestinians complain of oppressive restrictions during Ramadan, the Muslim holy month of fasting.
It has been further inflamed by the latest round of evictions of Palestinian residents from their homes to make way for Jewish settlers.
The Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in East Jerusalem has also been a focal point of Palestinian protests during Ramadan.
Several Palestinian families face eviction, under Israeli court order, from homes claimed by Jewish settlers in a long-running legal case.
