Liverpool star Mohamed Salah downgraded on FIFA 19 in latest update

Liverpool's Mohamed Salah had an excellent individual 2018/19 campaign for the Reds, scoring 27 goals and registering 10 assists in 52 appearances in all competitions.

His scintillating form helped Jurgen Klopp's side lift the Champions League trophy, with the Egyptian scoring the opening goal in the final, and pushing Man City all the way in the Premier League title race.

It may not have been as good as his first season, where he scored 44 goals in 52 appearances, but it was still an incredible season by anyone's standards.

However, EA Sports have decided to downgrade Salah in the latest FIFA 19 update.

Here are the latest changes to Salah's profile on FIFA 19 as of June 24 2019.

Mohamed Salah - downgrade

The 27-year-old is one of the best attacking players in the world on FIFA 19, with some incredible attributes.

His high acceleration (94), sprint speed (92), positioning (92) reactions (92), agility (91), composure (91), finishing (90) and dribbling (89) attributes make him one of the most dangerous players on the game.

His overall rating on FIFA 19 is 89 overall, which puts him level with the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Virgil van Dijk, Edinson Cavani and Sergio Aguero.

However, his potential ability has been downgraded from 90 to 89, which suggests that EA Sports think Salah has reached his peak at 27 and won't improve any further.

Some might say fair enough given his age, but van Dijk is the same age as Salah and his potential remains at 91 overall, so it seems like a curious downgrade.

Even with this harsh potential reduction, Salah remains one of the best players on the game, but don't expect him to improve in career mode anytime soon.
