Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum questions UEFA tweet on Champions League atmospheres

Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum has questioned UEFA's tweet on Champions League atmospheres ahead of the Reds kicking off their European campaign.

The Dutchman was seemingly surprised they failed to mention the Reds in a social media post about which ground had the best atmosphere in the competition.

The @ChampionsLeague Twitter account posted a tweet asking fans to pick which ground they felt had the best atmosphere, with four different clubs included in the tweet.

Those included were Real Madrid, Barcelona, Galatasaray and Borussia Dortmund, prompting Wijnaldum to reply with two thinking face emojis.

The midfielder's tweet was immediately jumped on by Reds fans who were quick to mention to the organisation that they was missing Liverpool in their selections.

Anfield is no stranger to special European nights under the lights, with last season's comeback win over Barcelona in the final the latest in a long list.

But it's not just at Anfield were Liverpool fans have left their mark.

During last season's final in Madrid, both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho were left in awe of the Reds faithful following their powerful rendition of You'll Never Walk Alone.
