Liverpool star Fabinho's romantic proposal to Rebeca Tavares revealed in unseen footage

She’s the WAG of the moment at Anfield , but Rebeca Tavares was once a princess without her prince.

Footage found on her Instagram page from 2015 reveals the moment Liverpool’s midfielder Fabinho proposed to Rebeca.

And it’s just as cheesy and romantic as you’d expect.

Prior to meeting the 25-year-old Brazilian international, Rebeca studied at Adventist University Centre of São Paulo.

And as a talented footballer herself, in January 2018 she was signed by the Monaco Football Club's women's team.

The couple moved to Liverpool last summer after her husband completed a big-money move to Anfield from Monaco.

They regularly post cute snaps of one another on Instagram, sharing snippets of their family life - and lucky Reds fans can now take a look back at their marriage proposal.

The couple first got together in 2013 and married on December 22, 2015.

But Fabinho popped the question on January 1 2015 - New Year’s Day.

Prior to posting the video, Rebeca shared a candid snap of Fabinho down on one knee presenting Rebeca with the diamond ring.

She captioned the post (translated): “I’m getting married to the man of my dreams.

“We’re starting the year by getting engaged... He took me by surprise, wearing slippers to walk around the house and not making a sound.

“But it was perfect, better than I ever dreamed of.

“Closing with a golden key this 2014, thank God for everything because I know it's only because of him that I've gotten this far.

“And 2015 will be a year of great achievement for all of us!!!”

Around a month later, Rebeca finally shared footage of the special moment.

With a TV on in the background, Fabinho lovingly held Rebeca’s hands as he showered her with compliments before asking ‘will you marry me?’

In absolute awe Rebeca can be seen nervously chuckling before giving the all-important answer - ‘yes’.
