Liverpool star Fabinho aims ruthless Man Utd jibe at three Brazil teammates

Fabinho has mocked several of his Brazil team-mates who are "going to the wrong place in the country".

The Liverpool star was taking aim at three of his compatriots, who are all plying their trade at Manchester United. Fabinho, who moved to Anfield in 2018 from Monaco, saw Casemiro and Antony become the latest South Americans to head to the north west.

The duo cost United well over £100m and joined Fred at Old Trafford to further their Brazilian contingent.

Fabinho has excelled for the majority of his time in England and has seen the Reds enjoy huge dominance over their long-time rivals.

Erik ten Hag is trying to revive United's fortunes and the additions of Casemiro and Antony have added more quality. Fabinho played with Casemiro whilst at Real Madrid and is hoping he doesn't have too much of an impact in Manchester.

He told Brazilian outlet UOL : "When I left and saw him winning opportunities at Real, I always sent him a congratulatory message. Regardless of whether we compete for position, we get along very well. He had already commented that he’d like to play in the Premier League. Too bad he went to the wrong place in England, huh? I hope he doesn’t improve Manchester United that much. He, Fred, Antony, there are a lot of Brazilians going to the wrong place in the country.”

Casemiro is already earning praise for his role in Manchester whilst Antony has slotted in on the right of the team's attack. The former arrived following huge success with Real Madrid and bolsters an area of the squad where the Red Devils were in need of recruits.

United currently sit above Liverpool having also beaten them earlier this season at Old Trafford. Fabinho and his team-mates are enduring a difficult time at Anfield having massively underwhelmed so far this term following their quadruple efforts last season.

Ten Hag meanwhile is building slowly and is hoping to end a trophy drought that dates back to 2017. Upon signing, Casemiro said he was "determined as ever to win football matches, win trophies and make our fans proud by bringing success to this great club.

“Everybody knows the history of Manchester United, the significance of the club around the world and what it means to its supporters. To represent United is an honour and I am ready to give everything to help the team achieve our ambitions.”
