Liverpool star Andy Robertson's classy gesture to Scotland teammates ahead of Euro 2020

Andy Robertson left gifts for his fellow Scotland teammates ahead of their first appearance in a major tournament since 1998, it has been revealed.

Andy Marshall's penalty save secured Steve Clarke's side a place in the rescheduled tournament in their play-off penalty shoot-out win over Serbia.

In just eight days time, 'the auld enemy' will come toe-to-toe with Gareth Southgate's side in the second match of the group stage, seeing Robertson potentially face Liverpool teammate Jordan Henderson, with England amongst the favourites to win the competition.

Scotland will play two of their Euro 2020 matches at Hampden Park in front of a reduced capacity of 12,000, whereas the Three Lions will play all three of their group stage matches at Wembley also at 25 per cent attendance.

Liverpool 's left-back was saluted by his fellow teammate Kevin Nisbet during a press conference days before their Group D opener with the Czech Republic.

The Hibernian striker made his debut under Clarke in March and has one goal in his first three games for the Scots.

"We came here yesterday (Wednesday) and the skipper Robbo bought us gifts," Nisbet said.

"We got a box and there was a lot of stuff in it. It makes you realise you're here, you're at the Euros and it's started now.

"There was Apple Watches, earphones... a lot of stuff. It's a credit to Robbo, he's done it off his own back.

"He's a great captain, a great leader and the best person to take us forward."

Robertson posted a snippet of what he presented his fellow teammates on Twitter which featured personalised bottles of Irn-Bru, Brewdog, Johnnie Walker Whiskey, Playstation 4 FIFA 21 plus Bang & Olufsen earphones.
