Liverpool star Andy Robertson receives special Champions League winners welcome gift while holidaying in Scotland

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has received a special Champions League welcome gift while holidaying in Scotland.

Upon arrival at the Gleneagles golf resort the 25-year-old was given a framed photo to honour his European success with the Reds.

Robertson added a picture of the gift to his Instagram story with a caption which read: "Thank you Gleneagles Hotel for the lovely welcome!"

Inside the frame is a picture of the Scottish international holding the Champions League trophy.

The left-back started the final against Tottenham as Liverpool claimed their sixth European Cup with a 2-0 win .

Robertson has been an integral player for Jurgen Klopp, having provided 13 assists in all competitions.

He isn't the first player to receive a commemorative gift, either.

On Friday Xherdan Shaqiri shared a photo of an amazing plaque he was given by his hotel in Greece.
