Liverpool star Andy Robertson on Man Utd clash: ‘They know what they're coming up against’

Andy Robertson says Liverpool should be "wary" of Man Utd on Sunday, but admits he and his team-mates are looking forward to taking on their rivals at Old Trafford.

Liverpool currently occupy second place in the Premier League table, with leaders Man City boasting a better goal difference and having played a game more than Jurgen Klopp's side.

Despite comfortably beating Bournemouth 3-0 in their last top-flight match, Liverpool endured a frustrating goalless draw at home to Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

United, meanwhile, responded to their first defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League last week by eliminating Chelsea from the FA Cup with a 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge.

And with the Red Devils flying high under their interim manager, Robertson is under no illusion as to how hard beating United - who the Reds defeated 3-1 back in December - will be this weekend.

"It's a big game against Manchester United, it's always big against them,” said Robertson.

"It's a game in hand as well and we look forward to that. It's a huge game and they're a different team playing some really good football, I think we need to be wary of them but they know what they're coming up against and they need to be wary of us.

"It'll be a good game and one we can hopefully come out on top of. You look at their team-sheet or squad list and it's full of stars. They have a fantastic team.

"They've got people back from injury as well which always helps and they've got a strong squad.

"We know what we're coming up against and we need to stop their danger-men but hopefully we've got enough to cause them problems as well to get the result that we need."
