Kevin Nisbet lavished praise on Andy Robertson for leaving gifts for all the Scotland squad ahead of EURO 2020.
The Scotland captain left welcome packs, containing electrical goods and snacks, in the rooms of every player at their base at Rockcliffe Hall.
Robertson is set to lead his country out at their first major international tournament in 23 years against Czech Republic on Monday.
Nisbet hailed the Liverpool stars leadership qualities and the Cambuslang man was extremely grateful for Robertson's kind gesture.
The Hibernian striker said: "We came here yesterday (Wednesday) and the skipper Robbo bought us gifts."
"We got a box and there was a lot of stuff in it. It makes you realise you're here, you're at the Euros and it's started now.
"There was Apple Watches, earphones... a lot of stuff. It's credit to Robbo, he's done it off his own back.
"He's a great captain, a great leader and the best person to take us forward.
"He has obviously gone out his own way to do that. When you have got a skipper that does that then 100% you back them."
