Liverpool star and Aston Villa and Wolves target tipped to leave Anfield for good - for two key reasons

Wales star Harry Wilson has been tipped to leave Anfield this summer.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with Derby County, finding a great deal of success under Frank Lampard as the Rams reached the Championship play-off final.

The attacker is now back at Melwood and is expected to get a chance to impress manager Jurgen Klopp during pre-season. He featured during the 6-0 win over Tranmere on Thursday and could get game-time against Bradford City on Sunday.

Another loan move could be on the cards next season, but former Reds defender Stephen Warnock believes Wilson will leave Anfield this summer for good - citing the presence of star men Mo Salah and Sadio Mane as one of the key the reasons.

“If Liverpool get an offer for Harry Wilson that matches a valuation that they think they can accept, I think he’ll go,” Warnock told LFC TV.

“I think it’s difficult for someone like Harry to look at Mane and Salah, can he break in front of them?

“You’ve got to be on a different level to break in front of those players.

“Is he at that level, or is he happy to sit behind them and maybe play in the FA Cup, League Cup and a couple of Champions League games here and there?

“You can see from last year, consistently playing games at Derby was the biggest thing that he could do.

“Playing 40 games in a season is the best thing that you can have, knowing that you’re going to play week in, week out, not ‘I might play in five weeks' time’.

“So that’s a decision he’s going to have to make and it might be taken out of his hands by the club anyway.”

If Wilson were to leave Merseyside there would be no shortage of suitors.

to sign him - Sky Bet have listed Dean Smith's side as the 5/2 favourites to secure the services of the winger, but a raft of other Premier League sides are now also been linked with a swoop for the 11-cap Welshman.

Bournemouth, Leicester City and Wolves have also been credited with interest, as well as Graham Potter's Brighton.
