Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to pen lucrative deal with Adidas

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to sign a lucrative deal with sportswear giants adidas.

Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlain is in red-hot form at Anfield and has got his sights set on making England’s Euro 2020 squad next summer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has been targeted by adidas as he is one of Liverpool and England’s most popular and marketable stars.

The 26-year-old has scored four goals in his last three starts, including starring roles in the Champions League as he returns to his best form after injury.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is currently with Nike, was recalled by Gareth Southgate to the England squad in September and seems certain to get his regular place back.

Three Lions boss Southgate is a big fan of Ox and has insisted he would have started at last year’s World Cup has he been fit.

Now with the “home tournament” Euro 2020 fast approaching, Oxlade-Chamberlain has got his sights set on glory for club and country.

Oxlade-Chamberlain was also given a contract extension by Liverpool this season which underlined how pleased Jurgen Klopp was with his return.

Since his serious injury, Oxlade-Chamberlain has admitted that he has been forced to change the way he trains.

[Training's] changed," Oxlade-Chamberlain told GQ recently. "There are certain things that I have to make sure I look after.

"I can’t just turn up and go and train now, I still have to get some treatment on my knee before going into the gym for pre-activation.

"This helps to get myself fired up and be ready to go out and train.

"Obviously, with a major injury like mine, you get back to playing but your body is still adapting.

"So I still feel aches from time to time but I always make sure that I’m warmed up.

"It’s the same with any long injury, it changes things, you just have to adapt to that."
