Liverpool squad vs Barcelona revealed as Jurgen Klopp picks Mohamed Salah replacement

Jurgen Klopp is facing an injury crisis when Liverpool face Barcelona on Tuesday night.

Concussion means Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been ruled out of the Champions League second leg against Barcelona at Anfield.

The Reds currently trail the tie 3-0 after the first leg at the Nou Camp last week.

Leading scorer Salah joins fellow forward Roberto Firmino, who has a muscle tear, on the sidelines.

Divock Origi, the substitute who scored the late winner at Newcastle on Saturday, is set to start alongside Daniel Sturridge and regular Sadio Mane up front.

Virgil van Dijk missed full training on Monday, instead undergoing an individual session, due to an ongoing foot problem.

It is currently unknown if the Dutchman, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain who also failed to meet up with the rest of the squad in front of the cameras, will feature vs Barca.

Midfielders Naby Keita, groin, and Adam Lallana, muscle, will not play again this season.

Klopp said of Salah and Firmino: “Both are not available for tomorrow.”

Luis Suarez sends message to Liverpool fans ahead of Barcelona clash

And speaking about Salah he added: “He is desperate, but we cannot do it. It is a concussion and that means he will not even be allowed to play. He feels OK but that is not good enough from a medical point of view.”

Klopp urged the passionate Liverpool fanbase to celebrate the season their side have delivered during an incredible campaign - and he wants an atmosphere which can shake even the mighty Barcelona: “It is a long season and there is at least a little chance to make it even longer.

“If not, these are the last two home games of an incredible season, and I think we should celebrate that with a good performance on the pitch and a very, very good performance in the stands. That would be really nice.

How Liverpool could line up vs Barcelona with Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino both out

The approach we will take is that we try to win the game, if that makes sense. You only can deal with it step by step. We don’t have to score three in the first 10 minutes.

“The last five minutes are enough to score three if it is still 0-0. Let’s give it a try with all we have. That is what we have always done and we will do again.”

Liverpool provisional squad: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Shaqiri, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mane, Origi, Mignolet, Gomez, Lovren, Moreno, Henderson, Sturridge, Jones, Brewster, Camacho.
