Liverpool completed the first part of their summer midfield rebuild by signing Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion on Thursday morning.
The 24-year-old scored 20 goals in 112 appearances for the Seagulls and helped Argentina win the 2022 World Cup. He arrives at Anfield for an undisclosed fee, signing a long-term deal.
The Argentina international will wear the No.10 jersey for the Reds. He follows in the footsteps of a number of Anfield greats by wearing the iconic number.

The deal also marks the first piece of significant business for Jurgen Klopp this summer, and the Reds are set to step up their recruitment drive ahead of the transfer window officially opening on June 14.
After losing James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on free transfers, the ECHO understands that midfield remains the priority for Klopp and newly-appointed sporting director Jorg Schmadtke.
With that in mind, the ECHO has taken a look at the shirt numbers available to those who could join the Reds this summer. With Milner, Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain all leaving, that means numbers 7, 8 and 15 will all be available.
Roberto Firmino is another whose Reds career comes to an end this summer. This will leave the number 9 free for the first time since 2016, when he took over the iconic Liverpool shirt number following the departure of Christian Benteke.
Arthur Melo will relinquish the number 29 at the end of his loan deal at Anfield. Much of the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s are available, with Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Rhys Williams and Nat Phillips occupying 32, 43, 46 and 47, respectively.
