Following the news that Virgil van Dijk has signed a contract extension until 2027, on the back of Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Trent Alexander-Arnold also agreeing fresh terms, Liverpool are locking in Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the long-term.
Michael Edwards, the club’s sporting director, has placed a clear priority on securing the key players that have brought the Reds so much recent success under Klopp.
Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are all understood to be in negotiations with the club, while Jordan Henderson’s situation appears not to be as straightforward as the other three.
