Liverpool is hanging doggedly with Manchester City in a race to a Premier League title, and got a massive lift to help them on that quest when Mohamed Salah scored a late goal to give them the lead over Southampton on Friday night.
Jordan Henderson finished from close range moments later to get the score to 3-1 and secure the points for Liverpool, keeping them on pace in their title quest.
The game started out bleakly for Liverpool, when they gave up a goal to Shane Long in the ninth minute. They steadied the ship after that, though, and after Naby Keita nabbed an equalizer before halftime, it was the late heroics from Salah and Henderson that saw the game off.
