Liverpool set transfer price for Dejan Lovren amidst interest from AC Milan and Roma

Liverpool have set their asking price for the transfer of Dejan Lovren.

Serie A giants AC Milan and Roma have expressed interest to the Reds over the Croatia international.

The ECHO understands the club would take €15million (£13.9m) plus bonuses taking the deal up to €20m for the centre-back.

Lovren , who is believed to be on just under £100,000-a-week at Anfield , has two years remaining on his contract.

The defender signed a four-year deal in 2017 and the Reds added the option of another year at the time.

The 30-year-old was not included in Jurgen Klopp's squad to face Norwich in Liverpool's 4-1 win on Friday night.

He has fallen out of first-team favour due to the incredible way Joel Matip stepped up last season to play alongside Virgil van Dijk while the young Joe Gomez is the future in the heart of the the Reds' defence.

There is still 11 days for a deal to be thrashed out between Liverpool and any interested party in Italy, with the Serie A transfer window shutting on August 23.
