Fulham owner Tony Khan has revealed that Fabio Carvalho will leave Craven Cottage when his contract expires in June. The 19-year-old who has contributed 11 goals and eights assists to to help the Cottagers gain promotion this season is set to join Liverpool in the summer.
According to the Echo the Reds have reached an agreement with the Cottagers to sign Carvalho for a fee that could rise north of £7million after they failed to conclude a deal in January. Jurgen Klopp’s side are clearly not resting on their laurels as they prepare for another assault on domestic and European honours before the conclusion of the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Chelsea who will no doubt be aiming to close the gap on Manchester City and Liverpool and face a summer of uncertainty; the club will be under new ownership and their transfer strategy post Roman Abramovich is uncertain. They’re also set to lose Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger on free transfers when their contracts expire next month.

The Reds have no such problems and have an air of stability around them with the news that Klopp has signed a two year contract extension, keeping him at Anfield until 2026. And the German has seemingly stolen a march on his rivals ahead of a busy summer with Khan confirming that Carvalho will leave Fulham this summer.
“I really like Fabio," Khan told the Athletic. “He’s a player we have always rated, coming out of the academy and we would have loved to have kept him.
“But we have made a deal that is best for the club and since that agreement, it’s worked out wonderfully because he has been such a valuable part of promotion.
“Marco [Silva] has done a great job with him. They have a great relationship and Fabio has been tremendous for us.
“He’s a huge part of the squad and it’s a massive loss but, because we have done good business, we can do good business to make sure we are strong in that position.”
