Liverpool set for a scorcher in run up to Easter weekend

Liverpool is set to be warmer than Barcelona this week as scorching temperatures hit for the Easter weekend.

Highs of 18C are expected on Wednesday and Thursday with temperatures peaking at 19C on Good Friday.

The  warmer weathe r will be a welcome change from the colder weather of last week,  caused by a Nordic vortex.

It's going to be a cloudy start to the day which will mean cooler temperatures.

Maximum temperature today is just 12C but this should be the last of the chilly weather.

Wednesday:

The sun will be out and it's going to be a balmy 19C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

It will stay dry towards Easter weekend, with increasing amounts of sunshine.

By Friday it will become much warmer with a high of 19C to help kick off the bank holiday.

It will be the perfect chance to bask in some Spring sun with the warm weather expected to last through Saturday.
