Liverpool sent transfer warning over Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane

Liverpool have been warned to be careful heeding Jamie Carragher's advice on breaking up their front line as Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are "irreplaceable."

Carragher has continually insisted Liverpool need some fresh impetus in their attack after a difficult season and with their established front three of Salah, Mane and Roberto Firmino, who have netted 306 goals between them for the club so far, all 29 by the time next season starts.

Firmino might be considered to the most vulnerable to be replaced among the trio but Carragher’s former Reds team-mate Marcus Babbel feels it would be almost impossible to fill the void left by either Salah or Mane if either player was allowed to leave Anfield anytime soon.

Speaking in association with Euro 2020 betting platform UniKrn, Babbel was asked if the duo were irreplaceable, and the Mirror quote him as replying: “Yes, I can't see anyone at the moment coming in to replace them.

“If you have to replace them, you have to spend a lot of money.

"Even the clubs who have these types of players don't just give them away, because they know they are good, so they would want to keep them."
