Liverpool sent Mohamed Salah injury warning that makes perfect sense

Liverpool have been sent a warning over injury fears surrounding Mohamed Salah.

The Reds forward has not been pictured taking part in training in recent days, and missed last weekend’s behind closed doors friendly against Blackburn Rovers as a precaution.

Despite the worries that Salah may miss Sunday’s Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park, Jurgen Klopp insists that no players have been ruled out.

The Reds need just six more points to clinch the long-awaited league crown, and one former Manchester City player believes it would “completely unnecessary” to rush Salah back from injury.

Danny Mills believes that Liverpool do not need to force Salah back from injury too quickly, and have the “luxury” of taking their time.

Mills told Football Insider : “They’ve won it [the title], haven’t they? So it doesn’t really matter.

“Mo Salah would want to be there for the celebrations and everything else, but there’s no point in rushing him back in any way, shape, or form.

"It’s just daft and completely unnecessary. If he’s not quite ready for whatever reason, then you just wait.

“Liverpool have lost two games in two seasons – that’s it. They’ve been absolutely incredible in that period. Are they going to lose nine in a row? No, they’re not.

“Jurgen Klopp has the luxury where he can take his time. He can say to his top players ‘when you’re fit, when you’re ready, you can come back and play’. There’s no need to force it.”
