Liverpool secure additional tickets for UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea in Istanbul

Liverpool FC have secured a small additional ticket allocation for next month's UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea in Istanbul.

The Reds were initially given just 4,957 tickets for the showdown at Besiktas Park on Wednesday, August 14.

However, Anfield officials have been working closely with UEFA to gain additional seats in a stadium which will have a 38,000-capacity for the all- Premier League clash.

As a result of those discussions and being granted an increased allocation, a further sale will take place for those supporters who were unsuccessful in the ballot for the 2019 Champions League final.

Tickets will be available online only from 1pm on Friday, July 5 on a first come, first served basis. Supporters can purchase one ticket per person up to a maximum of four tickets per transaction.

A club statement read: “The number of qualifying supporters will far exceed the number of tickets available during this sale and therefore no guarantee can be given that tickets will be available to all who apply.”

Ticket prices for the Super Cup range from £45 (category one) to £116 (category three). There are no concessions for juniors.
