Liverpool's win against Man City makes jealous Piers Morgan 'cry'

Liverpool defeated title rivals Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday with a resounding 3-1 victory - and Piers Morgan is not very happy.

Early goals from Fabinho and Mohamed Salah put the Reds in the driving seat as a Sadio Mane header in the second half secured the points.

Jurgen Klopp's side now sit nine points clear of Pep Guardiola's outfit who now languish in fourth place going into the international break.

Piers Morgan was reduced to 'tears' following the victory as The Good Morning Britain host sent out a series of posts to Twitter.

Morgan, who is a renowned Arsenal fan, re-tweeted previous tweets he had sent years earlier, in which he had pleaded for Klopp to become the Gunners' next boss.

A post from March 2013 read: "Jurgen Klopp would be the perfect next manager for Arsenal - fact."

Another from November 2014 urged: "[Arsene] Wenger out, Klopp in. Come on Arsenal fans - make it happen."

When the German manager was on the cusp of joining Liverpool in October 2015, Morgan stated: "Arsenal should move for Jurgen Klopp. A ruthless board that wants to win big trophies wouldn't let him go & transform Liverpool."

The day later when Klopp had been officially announced, he wrote: "So depressed about Jurgen Klopp. He should be ours. Instead, Liverpool will get all the fun, excitement & rewards."

All four posts to the social media site have since been re-tweeted by Morgan who accompanied each tweet with two crying face emojis after the Reds' win.

Morgan also revealed his jealousy of Liverpool fans as he added: "Yes, VAR was crap again - but mercilessly magnificent Liverpool would still have won.

"Klopp’s turned them into ruthless world-beating entertainers, superb in every area. Special manager, special team. Very jealous of Liverpool fans."

Unai Emery's Arsenal were defeated 2-0 by Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City on Saturday night, with the Foxes now sitting eight points behind off the league-leaders in second.
