Liverpool has no shortage of beautiful places - and this city park is no exception thanks to the stunning blossom trees that are currently in full bloom.
This not-so- hidden gem is Wavertree Botanic Park and Gardens, which is open to the public all year round.
The park's cherry blossoms are at their most beautiful this time of year - but the colourful sight doesn't last long and only makes a brief appearance each year.
Photos taken by ECHO photographer Colin Lane show the trees in full bloom, with bright pink flowers lining the paths of the park.
It's a beautiful sight - and one you might not expect to find tucked away off a busy main road.
Walking along the path under the cherry blossoms you could be forgiven for thinking you’re no longer in the city boundaries.
The trees bring a welcome explosion of colour to the park as the changing seasons bring longer days and warmer temperatures.
The park is just a short distance from the former Littlewoods building which is set to become a major film and TV studio.
While the completion of this ambitious project may still be some way off, any film and production crews that do end up working there are guaranteed to have one of the best views of in city.
