Liverpool's stance on Sadio Mane transfer amid Real Madrid interest

Liverpool have absolutely no interest in parting with Sadio Mane this summer - no matter the price.

The Senegal forward has been in scintillating form recently, with the 26-year-old scoring 11 times since the start of the year - including seven goals in his last five games.

Mane, 26, also scored and assisted in a 15 minute cameo appearance off the bench in Senegal's 2-1 friendly win over Mali on Tuesday.

His recent form has seen him once more linked with a move to Real Madrid - amid long-standing interest from Zinedine Zidane.

Liverpool star 'seduced' by Zinedine Zidane transfer interest, say Spanish press

The Frenchman - who recently returned to the Santiago Bernabeu, having left after last season's Champions League success - had earmarked Mane as a target last summer, before his exit.

Now Mane, who signed a new deal in November to keep him at Anfield until 2023, has once again emerged as a target for Zidane, ahead of his summer overhaul in the Spanish capital.

According to Marca, Mane has been "seduced" by the possibility of playing for Zidane.

But Liverpool are paying little mind to reported interest in Mane, and will reject all overtures.

Mane, who scored in last term's Champions League final, has no buyout clause in his long-term contract, nor do they expect him to agitate for a switch, such is his happiness at Anfield.

Upon inking his new deal, Mane stated: "I have made the best decision in my career.”

“It is a great day for me and now I am looking forward to everything – to helping the team, to helping the club achieve our dreams and, especially, to win trophies.

“I’ve always said, when I knew I had a chance to come here I didn’t have to think twice. The right club in the right moment and with the right coach as well. I came here and was very happy."

Mane will lead the Reds attack alongside Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah when they continue their title push against Tottenham at the weekend.
