Liverpool's Sadio Mane set for historic battle with Roberto Firmino and Fabinho next month

Brazil have confirmed they will take on Senegal for the first time in their history next month.

The friendly, which will take place during the October international break, is set to be held in Singapore's national stadium.

This means Liverpool's Roberto Firmino and Fabinho could come up against team-mate Sadio Mane in Asia.

The Selecao are set to face the Lions of Teranga on 10 October, before taking on Nigeria three days later.

"It was a really serious injury in the calf. It is now much better, of course, and that’s good for us and good for him, but we don’t know exactly [how long it will be].

"The target was always after the next international break [that] he could be ready, but we don’t know. So, as I said, there is no pressure and hopefully everything will be fine for the rest of the season, that’s the plan."
