Liverpool's Rocket & Ruby to close Castle Street restaurant

Castle Street restaurant Rocket & Ruby is to close its doors this weekend.

But it’s not all bad news for fans of the venue as it is set to relocate into the new Duke Street venue PINS.

Rocket & Ruby opened a year ago, replacing Cheese & Co on the corner of Castle Street.

The site will now remain closed until the New Year, after which Red and Blue Restaurants will be announcing a new concept for the site.

PINS is set to open next month on Duke Street, with 12 lanes of bowling, classic table games like shuffleboard, ping pong, beer pong and American pool.

There will also be karaoke, an indoor fire pit, two bars and live entertainment. The kitchen will be run in collaboration with Rocket & Ruby and Bacaro Pizza.

Co-Owners Jonathan Poole and Paddy Smith, said: “We have been working hard in our test kitchen to produce the perfect bowling alley eats in line with our two restaurants' styles. We are so excited to be coming on board with PINS and we can’t wait for it to open so that everyone can see both the unique space and the first-rate food on offer."

Rocket & Ruby at 55 Castle Street will close on Sunday, October 27 at 4pm.
