Liverpool were dealt a blow to their hopes of Champions League qualification with a 3-1 defeat to Brentford.
The Reds went 1-0 down early on in the first half thanks to an own goal from Ibrahima Konate. Brentford then doubled their lead with a header from Yoane Wissa as Liverpool trailed 2-0 at the interval.
Jurgen Klopp responds by making three half-time changes. Virgil van Dijk, Kostas Tsimikas and Harvey Elliott were replaced by Joel Matip, Andy Robertson and Naby Keita.

Liverpool got back into the game after a header from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, but it was to be in vain. Bryan Mbeumo put Brentford 3-1 up to seal the defeat for the Reds.
