Liverpool's Naby Keita didn't impress all - but everybody loves Mohamed Salah

Getting exciting, isn't it?

Liverpool's Premier League title challenge continued apace with a memorable and deserved 2-0 win over Chelsea at Anfield on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah's wonder strike was the highlight of a rousing Reds performance that moved them back to the Premier League summit.

And an overall good Liverpool display was reflected in our ratings.

Yours truly once again ran the rule over the Reds and considered Salah best, handing the Egyptian an impressive 9.

Alisson Becker, Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Sadio Mane were all given 8. No player scored lower than 7.

The judgement from Reds supporters was not too dissimilar.

Salah topped the rankings with an average of 8.8 ahead of Henderson on 8.3 and Mane on 8.2.

Robertson was the lowest-scoring starter with 7.3, but even that is a more than decent score on a usual matchday.

What everyone else said

Of course, other ratings are available. And the national media were pretty consistent in who they considered key to Liverpool's win.

The Mirror regarded Salah best on 9 ahead of Fabinho, Van Dijk and Firmino on 8. Keita, though, scored only 6.

The Mail do things by halves and had Salah top on 8.5 ahead of Firmino and Fabinho with 8. Matip was lowest with 6.

The Independent couldn't split Mane, Van Dijk, Salah, Keita and Henderson with all scoring 8. Robertson, Matip and Firmino registered just 6.

Meanwhile, the Times considered Salah top with 9 ahead of Mane on 8.

Finally, the number-crunchers at WhoScored.com calculated Salah best on 8.76 ahead of Alexander-Arnold on 7.77.
