Christmas has well and truly arrived in one part on Merseyside as neighbours come together to kickstart the festive celebrations.
In what has been described as Liverpool's 'most festive street', residents at Leveret Road in Speke have gone above and beyond in a bid to spread some joy this Christmas.
With bright lights and reindeers on show, Santa Claus is definitely coming to town.

Resident Mark, who did not wish for his surname to be published, said he, along with neighbour Lee and their partners were talking about what they could do to cheer everyone up this Christmas after a tough time.

He said last year was "horrendous" due to the Covid-19 pandemic and so the 'light up Leveret Road' idea was born in a bid to add some magical cheer for the people of Speke to enjoy.
But soon, other residents were quick to jump on board and go all out with their own decorations at home, resulting in an extra festive street.
Mark told the ECHO : "We were just talking about the last year and the nightmare that has been Covid-19 and we were talking about what we could do to brighten the mood, so we decided to decorate the street.
"There are six houses each side so we put lights right across in a zig zag. Four of us put into it to get over light heads and then everyone else put their own lights on their gutters.

"It's brilliant, really good. People passing have said it's amazing and the most festive street. They say they haven't had anything like this in Speke in so many years.
"It just brightens everyone's mood and is definitely needed.
"It's good for the community, being from Speke myself, it shows how we can come together in hard time and create some good memories, getting the whole road together."
Mark joked the electricity bill will be 'high' but said it is 'only done once a year so is worth it'.
The first time the lights were put up they were faced with a storm which did not end well as the lights snapped and couldn't be repaired.
But the pair braved the cold weather for a second time along with neighbours Tony and Charlie.
Mark added: "Charlie who is 83 wouldn’t go in as he just wanted to stay out and give us good advice on how to put the lights up.

"Once the storm had gone, we put up all the lights across all the gutters going zig zag across the road, all the gutter lights, some fence lights and wall lights."
On December 12, residents came out to see the whole road light up and had a "lovely time", enjoying the festivities with a mince pie and festive drinks.

Mark said: "Some of the feedback from the people who have visited the road has been amazing, it’s Brilliant for Speke as a community.
"We are not looking forward to the electric bill come the end of January."
