Liverpool's most dangerous and crime ridden areas revealed

The latest crime figures for Liverpool have revealed that 6,765 offences were recorded in the city during September.

The most incidents happened in 'Hub Four,' an area which covers the city centre, Toxteth, parts of Edge Hill, Wavertree and Aigburth, with 2,611 recorded.

Of those in that hub, 675 remain under investigation, 901 saw the investigation completed with "no suspect identified" and 606 were unable to prosecute the suspect.

The city centre tends to have the highest prevalence of recorded crime, with approximately 1,615 crimes around Ropewalks, Central Station and the waterfront.

September's figures mark a slight increase compared to August's figures, which saw 6,687 crimes recorded across the city.

The figures make a contrast to February this year, where only 5,588 crimes were recorded - most likely due to the social restrictions that were in place due to the pandemic.

In 'Hub One,' which encompasses districts including Anfield, Everton, Kirkdale, Norris Green, Croxteth and Fazakerley, there were 2,050 incidents recorded.

In 'Hub Two,' covering West Derby, Old Swan, Fairfield, Knotty Ash, Stoneycroft and Tuebrook, 1,308 offences were registered by the police.

And in "Hub Three", which takes in Hunts Cross, Speke, Woolton, Childwall, Allerton, Belle Vale and Netherley, were 796 offences recorded in September, the lowest figure.

In the case of all four hubs, violent and sexual offences were the most common type of crime, with public order offences and anti-social behaviour the next most prevalent.

These are all figures for September.
