Mario Balotelli has been offered to Besiktas, according to his agent.

The Italian striker, who is heading back to Liverpool following an unsuccessful loan spell at Milan, will be moved on if the Merseyside club can find a buyer.

“I offered Mario to Besiktas and I’m waiting for their answer,’’ Mino Raiola told Turkish media. “But I’m quite sure the transfer will happen as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.’’

Liverpool paid £16m for Balotelli in August 2014 but in his one season at Anfield he scored four goals in 28 matches, only one of them in the Premier League.

The manager, Jürgen Klopp, is keen to offload him and Liverpool have received inquiries from the Chinese Super League as well as Besiktas.

Turkey is the likely destination for Martin Skrtel, with the centre-half close to agreeing a £5.5m move to Fenerbahce.
