Liverpool's injury list ahead of Champions League final - Roberto Firmino and Naby Keita latest

Roberto Firmino has given Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp a Champions League final  injuries boost, but Naby Keita has been ruled out of Saturday night's showdown in Madrid.

Brazilian forward Firmino, one of the most influential players in the Reds squad, played just 11 minutes of Liverpool's last five games of the season after sustaining a groin problem in training ahead of the Premier League clash with Huddersfield.

But he was part of the  Reds squad  that spent a week in Marbella preparing for Saturday's showdown against Tottenham Hotspur at Atletico Madrid's Estadio Metropolitano and Klopp said this week: “Bobby was part of training last week, really good, everything looked fine. He will be fine, I am pretty sure."

The news was not so positive on Naby Keita, though.

After suffering an adductor injury in the Champions League semi-final first leg in Barcelona the Guinea midfielder hasn't featured since and may even be a doubt for the summer's African Cup of Nations finals.

"No chance for Naby in Madrid but he is really progressing well," said Klopp.

"It was really unlucky. Bad news. A high grade adductor injury. We will see how it will work out for him for the African Cup of Nations."
