Liverpool's forgotten man who never fails to show his team support

Simon Mignolet has featured just twice for Liverpool this campaign with Alisson Becker Jurgen Klopp's preferred number one.

But the Belgium international has consistently shown his unwavering support from the bench.

Since Alisson's arrival from Roma and Loris Karius' loan departure to Turkey, the stopper has acted as understudy to the Brazilian.

Mignolet has only played in Liverpool's opening round cup defeats to Chelsea and Wolves respectively.

Though the 31-year-old has remained professional throughout the season and proved this once more after Tuesday night's 2-0 Champions League win over Porto.

In a post on social media the goalkeeper shared a picture of Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino and wrote: "A clean sheet, and a goal each for these two. Great European night"

This isn't the first time the shot-stopper has shown support for his team online.

Over the course of the season Mignolet has shared almost 30 pictures of his team-mates on Instagram.

These matchday images are often accompanied by meaningful captions.

In spite of limited playing time the former Sunderland man has remained positive and supportive from the bench as Liverpool vie to end their seven-year trophy drought.
