As 2019 draws to a close, Liverpool’s food and drink scene is once again going from strength to strength.
This year it seems new venues have been opening by the minute, from tiny independents to giants of the industry making their way to our city.
There were also some major closures this year too - including Jamie Oliver’s Liverpool ONE restaurant and Liverpool staple Garlands, which closed this summer after 25 years in the city.
This was also the year a devastating fire destroyed one of the city's most-loved bars and the city centre welcomed a bar inspired by one of TV’s most iconic shows.
