Liverpool's Diogo Jota sparks theory Jurgen Klopp is going to drop Mohamed Salah

Diogo Jota may have dropped a hint over Liverpool's team selection for Sunday's match against Fulham after he reportedly dropped teammate Mohamed Salah from his fantasy football team.

Salah was substituted in the 62nd minute of Thursday's 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Anfield, when Jota came on for his first appearance since December after a knee injury.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp stated that he brought Salah off because he thought the Egyptian was tired, but if Jota's fantasy football activity is anything to go by then the forward could be set for a longer spell on the sidelines.

The Twitter account 'FPL Insider' monitors the transfers in and out of footballers' teams, and revealed on Saturday that Jota has seemingly replaced Salah in his team with Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.

Aston Villa recently banned their players from taking part in fantasy football after a number of the club's players transferred Jack Grealish out of their teams, unwittingly revealing that he had suffered an injury in the process.

"I was made aware on social media there were rumours he was not going to play,” Villa boss Dean Smith said after the news had leaked that Grealish was injured prior to the recent match against Leicester.

“If that is coming out of our training ground I will find out where it is coming from and reprimand whoever it is coming from. It is something I would not be happy with.”

Speaking on substituting a clearly unhappy Salah after the Chelsea match, Klopp said: "I just brought on fresh legs.

"Mo looked like today he suffered a bit, he played a lot of games.

"I could have taken off Sadio [Mane] or Bobby [Firmino], that is all clear but at that moment it looked like Mo."
