There has been one further coronavirus death recorded in our region's hospitals.
The latest figures released by the NHS on Saturday revealed there had been one further death today.
This is the sole death overall recorded since last Saturday, when our region recorded zero deaths.
The figures reflect when deaths were recorded in hospitals rather than the time they actually occurred.
Saturday's data included a coronavirus death being recorded at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which includes The Royal Liverpool, Aintree and Broadgreen hospitals.
This sadly brings the total number of deaths in this trust to 477.
In more positive news, no further deaths were recorded at any other trust in our region since last August 15.

Saturday's figures come as residents in Eccleston Park were urged to get checked for symptoms.
St Helens Council urged people to get a test even if they were not showing symptoms of the virus.
Diagnosed rates of Covid-19 in the area from the newest data available, for the week August 10, have seen an equivalent seven-day rate of 92 cases per 100,000 residents.
This puts the area in the top 5% in small areas across the North West.
