Liverpool's Covid-19 infection rate has dropped below 100 cases per 100,000 people - a hugely significant moment in the city's battle against the virus.
The city is chasing the virus away and has made remarkable progress since it was placed into the highest level of restrictions because of spiralling cases back in October.
At that point, Liverpool was the worst affected borough in the country with an infection rate of more than 700 cases per 100,000.
Today the latest results showed the city's Covid-19 infection rate is now 99.4 per 100,000.

Data extracted covering testing up to 27th November show that the total number of confirmed cases for the last 7 days is 495, a decrease of 374 cases on the previous week.
Of the 495 confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 133 (26.9%) were detected using the Lateral Flow Testing (LFT) kits being used on asymptomatic people in the city.
The latest positivity testing rate - which is the total number of positive tests from all those carried out in the city in the past 7 days is just 1.3%.
At one point in October this figure was higher than 20%.
The majority of cases (52%) were in those aged under 40 years, whereas 25% cases were in those aged 40-59 yrs. Of all the confirmed cases in the last seven days 55% were female and 45% were male.

The wards with the largest number of confirmed cases are Fazakerley (33 cases), Central (31 cases), Picton (28 cases), Warbreck (27 cases), Kirkdale (27 cases), Anfield (24 cases), Riverside (24 cases) and Princes Park (23 cases).
The falling infection rates in Liverpool and the wider city region - as well as decreasing hospital admissions - mean that the region will enter Tier 2 restrictions of the government's new system on Wednesday.
This will mean that restaurants, pubs that serve food and other hospitality venues will be able to reopen - along with gyms, shops, personal care businesses and entertainment venues.
