It has been an incredibly challenging year for our region.
Merseyside has suffered badly at the hands of the coronavirus pandemic - but as expected our region has done what it does best and looked after one another.
As we head towards the end of 2020, we want to celebrate the very best of our local areas and the people who stepped up when we needed them most.
We’ve teamed up with Amazon, whose own staff went above and beyond to keep deliveries going through lockdown, to recognise the Covid Heroes in our communities.
Last week we asked you to nominate your covid heroes from across our region.
We wanted to hear about the takeaways getting food to pensioners and hungry kids, the carers going the extra mile for vulnerable people or the teachers making sure kids feel safe in these distressing times.
And you didn't let us down - the nominations have been flooding in.
We have already published our first list of covid heroes and are pleased to reveal another load of nominations today.
And it's not too late to nominate your covid heroes - you'll find the form at the end of this article.
So here are more of Merseyside's covid heroes in the words of those who nominated them.
Jordan Scott
"Jordan has been the catalyst behind over 800 food parcel deliveries across the Wirral, throughout the height of the COVID-19 pandemic as a member of the Heswall Round Table.
"This was facilitated by Jordan coordinating the project, reaching out to schools throughout the local borough and identifying those most at need during lockdown.
"He has led a team of enthusiastic volunteers, by allocating each volunteer to carry out a number of deliveries every week. His outstanding leadership hasn't stopped here however, as he has recently led another food bank collection for the school he works at; Grove Street Primary School. This was done in partnership with local West Cheshire football team Poulton Royal FC.
"His tireless drive and determination to ensure local communities across the Wirral has been phenomenal and inspiring to all those involved."
