Liverpool’s Church Street Christmas tree lights are to be switched on tonight.

The competition was to find the most festive council worker and Jacki won after telling the judges that she still looks forward to Christmas, despite experiencing a family bereavement over the festive period two years ago.

Jackie chose the 55ft Norwegian Spruce from the Christmas Tree Farm in the West Midlands a few weeks ago and will join the Mayor at the switch on of the tree’s lights.

Church Street’s Christmas tree will comprise 14,000 low energy LED lights and 400 baubles. The lights will be switched on at around 4.45pm this evening, Thursday November 25.
