When it comes to chippys in Liverpool. there is one which stands out from the rest - Byrnes.
Brynes Fish and Chip is practically an institution in the city and has been run by the same family throughout four generations.
You've only got to take a look at the queues outside it on Good Friday to understand just how much scousers love it.
Having been based on Stuart Road for decades its team have taken to Twitter to announce plans to open its second takeaway .
In a tweet, shared alongside images of the new shop, they said: "New #Byrnes Fish and Chip shop Muirhead Avenue East coming soon."
As expected fans of the famous chippy are delighted, with user @jessmaher_ replying: "Can't wait!!!!"
@JoesphMcclarnon said: "Game changer"
It's not confirmed when it will be opening this new branch, so we're expecting to see the same sized queues outside its Walton chippy next Friday as scousers from across the city travel to get their Good Friday fix.
In even more exciting news, in response to one user who asked if they would ever open in the city centre, Byrnes' team replied: "if this goes well the city centre got to be next."
