Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's incredible gesture to children in hospice

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain took time out of his busy training schedule to delight children at one of Liverpool's hospices.

The 25-year-old Liverpool star visited Zoe's Place who care for babies with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

While he was there, the midfielder delighted the children and their families by bringing gifts, signing shirts and even playing a bit of football.

Families were excited to see Alex as he stopped to chat with them and posed for plenty of pictures, including holding one of LFC's youngest fans.

The visit on March 26 was set up with the LFC Foundation and a spokesperson for Zoe's Place said: "We were delighted to be able to do this for the families who visit us.

"At our hospice, we care for babies between the ages of 0-6 who have life limiting or life threatening conditions, and so it is important for us to try and make as many special memories as we can for our families, and this day was definitely one to remember.

This is not the first time the LFC star has made a special visit to surprise children, in December last year, Alex and his Little Mix girlfriend Perrie Edwards went to KIND in Toxteth to take gifts to kids at the charity.

Oxlade-Chamberlain  said at the time: “The kids come from tough backgrounds and we just wanted to make a difference to their Christmas and put smiles on their faces.
