With the summer transfer window finally slamming shut, Liverpool can now focus on the start of their Premier League season ahead of taking on Norwich City in their campaign opener on Friday evening.
The Reds signed youngsters Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott this summer, along with backup keeper Adrian on a free transfer to replace the outgoing Simon Mignolet.
The likes of Timo Werner, Bruno Fernandes, Philippe Coutinho, Kylian Mbappe and Matthijs de Ligt were all linked with the Reds this summer , only for moves to Anfield not to materialise.
With the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain , Rhian Brewster, Adam Lallana and Joe Gomez all returning to full fitness and involved in first team action throughout pre-season, Jurgen Klopp a is happy with the players at his disposal ahead of next season.
So, with Liverpool's squad as it is, where could the Reds finish in the Premier League this season?
We used Football Manager 2019 to have a bit of fun and predict the Reds' upcoming campaign.

To see how Liverpool would get on with their current squad, we added in a transfer embargo using the Football Manager 2019 editor, so that the Reds couldn't make any signings.
We also added in all the accurate promotions, relegations, transfers and manager changes using an updated editor file to make it as realistic as possible, including the transfers of Adrian, Sepp van den Berg and Harvey Elliott.
So, how good will Liverpool be in the 2019/20 season?

Liverpool scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League in 2019/20, scoring 78 goals in just 38 games, in what was an impressive season from an offensive point of view.

The Reds were also strong defensively, conceding 28 goals in 38 games - The third least in the competition and just two less than Man City.

Despite only adding Adrian in the summer, Liverpool were still able to dominate possession against the majority of teams they played against with only Man City averaging more possession over the season.

Liverpool's top scorers in 2019/20
Roberto Firmino had a magnificent season, scoring 30 goals in 62 appearances, with Mohamed Salah second with 24 goals in 54 appearances.
Naby Keita also had a great season, registering 13 goals from midfield in all competitions.

Despite Firmino's goalscoring exploits, Salah was Liverpool's top performer and the top performing player in the Premier League overall with the Brazilian second best.

This is was Jurgen Klopp's best XI eleven during the season, with a familiar looking lineup.

Interestingly, James Milner and Naby Keita were Jurgen Klopp's best midfield pairing in midfield, with Fabinho in defensive midfield.
Joe Gomez recovered from injury to become first choice in 2019/20, edging out Joel Matip.

Liverpool finished second in the Premier League once again, four points behind City in the Premier League, as they won 85 points overall.
Despite finishing second, it was still a strong season overall.
Champions League performance in 2019/20
The Reds couldn't replicate their European success in 2019/20, eventually losing in the Quarter-Final to Inter Milan.

But, Klopp's side did win a trophy, as they won the Carabao Cup in 2019/20.

According to Football Manager 2019, Liverpool will once again challenge for the highest honours in 2019/20 and they will finish the campaign with a piece of silverware.
With all their rivals strengthening, Football Manager 2019 predicts that Liverpool will still have a strong season in 2019/20, but that Man City will still just pip them to the title.
