With the transfer window closing in less than four weeks time, Liverpool's Premier League rivals are strengthening their squads ready for the new season, but the Reds have been far from active so far.
The only signing Jurgen Klopp 's side have made this summer is young Dutch defender Sepp van den Berg from PEC Zwolle, who will have an opportunity to prove himself worthy of first-team consideration this season but finds himself behind Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren in the pecking order.
After a tremendous season for Liverpool in 2018/19, in which they won the Champions League trophy, Klopp is happy with the squad he's got at his disposal and will only add players if something comes up which they can't refuse.
So, if Liverpool don't sign any players before the end of the window, how will they do next season?
And, where will they finish in the Premier League?
We used Football Manager 2019 to find out.
Liverpool - No signings
To see how Liverpool would get on with their current squad and no additional signings, we added in a transfer embargo using the Football Manager 2019 editor, so that the Reds couldn't make any signings.
We also added in all the accurate promotions, relegations, transfers and manager changes using an updated editor file, to make it as realistic as possible.
But how much difference will it make to Liverpool's performance in the 2019/20 season?
Here's what happened....

Liverpool scored more goals than any other team in the Premier League in 2019/20, scoring 78 goals in just 38 games.

The Reds were also strong defensively, conceding 28 goals in 38 games, the third least in the competition.
Liverpool average possession in 2019/20
Despite bringing no players in, Liverpool were still able to dominate possession against the majority of teams they played against, with only Man City averaging more.
Liverpool's top scorers in 2019/20
Roberto Firmino had a magnificent season, scoring 30 goals in 62 appearances, with Salah second with 24 goals in 54 appearances.
Naby Keita also had a great season, registering 13 goals from midfield in all competitions.

Despite Firmino's goalscoring exploits, Mohamed Salah was Liverpool's top performer and the top performing player in the Premier League overall, with Firmino the second best.

This is was Jurgen Klopp's most used eleven during the season, with a familiar looking lineup, but without Trent Alexander-Arnold .
Unfortunately, the youngster sustained a bad injury early in the season, which gave Clyne a chance in the first team and he took it with both hands.
Interestingly, Rhian Brewster made only one appearance all season as the front three stayed fit, but Harry Wilson made 11 in all competitions.

Liverpool finished second in the Premier League once again, four points behind City in the Premier League, winning 85 points overall.
Champions League performance in 2019/20
The Reds couldn't replicate their European truimph in 2019/20, eventually losing in the Quarter-Final to Inter Milan.
But, Klopp's side did win a trophy, as they won the Carabao Cup in 2019/20.
According to Football Manager 2019, Liverpool will once again challenge for the highest honours in 2019/20, despite not signing anyone, and they finish the campaign with another piece of silverware.
However, with all their rivals strengthening, Football Manager 2019 predicts that Liverpool could just fall short in the Premier League and Champions League if no new signings are forthcoming this summer.
