One of Liverpool’s most popular restaurants has been named among the top 100 in the UK.
The
Art School Restaurant, on Sugnall Street, is included in the SquareMeal Top 100 list, which is voted for by thousands of readers.
The restaurant was the only Liverpool venue to make the list, with restaurants from surrounding areas such as Manchester and Lancashire also making the cut.
SquareMeal describes the restaurant as: “Located in the stunning Lantern Room of the former Victoria Home for Destitute Children, this award-winning restaurant led by chef patron Paul Askew champions seasonal ingredients to ensure each dish tastes as good as it looks”.
The Art School Restaurant came in at number 72, while Merseyside chef Gary Usher ’s Sticky Walnut in Chester was number 41 and Moor Hall came top of the list at number one.
