A Liverpool restaurant is currently serving what many believe to be the “best pub roast ever”.
The Sunday Roasts at The Monro in Liverpool city centre, which has a long history in the city dating back to 1815, have been a hit with customers according to recent TripAdvisor reviews.

The gastropub is well known for its popular dishes and cosy atmosphere, with roaring fires and Georgian architecture, but it's the Sunday Roasts people really love.
The Monro’s Sunday lunch menu, which comes as two courses or three as well as in a smaller version for children, is available from 11am to 7pm and can even be ordered to takeaway.
Diners can choose from a range of starters and desserts, while for mains there’s the choice between roast beef, roast lamb, lamb shank or vegetarian nut roast, all served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, rich gravy and homemade Yorkshire puddings.
Reviewers have praised the roast dinner, labelling it the “best pub roast ever”.
One review said: “One of the more flavourful and generously portioned Sunday dinners I have had in Liverpool! The beef is soft. The veggies are seasoned really well. The yorkshire pudding is massive and soaks up the simply delicious gravy really well.”
Another wrote: “I can honestly say it's the best pub roast I have ever had - cooked to perfection, great size plate (ate every bite) and it's the first time haven't had to ask for more gravy”.
A third added: “Lovely Sunday lunch with friends. Food was great and service was excellent”.
