A Liverpool restaurant has received a huge award from TripAdvisor which has placed it in the top 1% of venues worldwide.
Indigo Greens on Queens Drive was given the TripAdvisor 2021 Travellers’ Choice Award this month.
The vegan restaurant, which opened in West Derby in 2018, has proven extremely popular - with a whole host of five star reviews.

Indigo Greens specialises in all things plant based, with signature dishes including the Full Indigo Breakfast, the Salt N Pepper Sweet Potato Wedges and the Green Grill Breakfast.
According to its website, the key to the success of Indigo Greens is “simple”, as it says “The key to our success is simple: providing quality consistent cruelty free food that tastes great every single time.
“We pride ourselves on the full Indigo experience, whether you visit our Plant Based Eatery or order a delivery your food will be prepared with love and delivered with a smile.”
A Travellers’ Choice Award is the highest recognition given by review site TripAdvisor. According to the website, the award is “presented annually to those businesses that are the Best of the Best on Tripadvisor, those that earn excellent reviews from travellers and are ranked in the top 1% of properties worldwide.”
Since opening Indigo Greens has been met with a host of five star reviews from fans who just can't get enough of its food.
Recent reviews on TripAdvisor claim the restaurant is "unreal" and "seriously great".
One person wrote: "UNREAL. Best vegan food I've ever had. Can't really say anymore. Boss, positive people too. I drive over from the wirral just to come here. Please open one over the water."
A second said: "Delicious and colourful food! A must visit for delicious and colourful healthy food, you will not be disappointed! We've also a takeaway and the excellent quality was the same!"
A third claimed Indigo Greens is the "best vegan gaff in the city" and wrote: "Best vegan gaff in the city. Top food friendly staff and you don’t have to worry if anything is vegan or not because it all is. The food here is amazing.
"Taste wise beats most non vegan places I’ve been to. Highly recommend. Plenty of cake no fuss no drama, a wonderful evening."
